The Marathon may be over but…
The blogging challenge is over (finally!). [I put ‘finally’ into brackets as I have two different feelings about this experience].
Finally because…. I have to admit that it was a real challenge for me as I had just joined the blogsphere and the Twitter community, so blogging was completely new for me. Not being tech savvy and not exactly knowing what to write about, I had to spend hours and hours in front of this screen. My aching eyes- all the white in them becoming red…and the sleepless night making it difficult to get up early for work…
Nonetheless, I feel great to have taken part in blogathon because there has been so much I have learned- the ideas, the links to amazing bloggers, the useful websites, 2.0 web tools, and so on. Perhaps, more importantly, I have been able to establish wonderful relationship with some of them; namely, Osman Solmaz, Eva Buyuksimkesyan, CoffeeAddict, Bluering, Aisha Ertugrul, and many others. You may find this strange, but I kind of feel that we will keep in touch. One day, I also hope to meet those beautiful personalities in person.
Other than that, I also had the opportunity to “feed” my personal blog which was about to die just after its birth in November 2010. (If you chck the archives you will see what I mean;)) I am also very grateful to have joined this challenge because blogathon has inspired me further to explore the blogshpere as well as to expand my ,which, in turn, has contributed a lot to my professional growth since then. The other day for instance, Chuck Sandy shared a link of his wallwisher requesting us to say ‘hello’ to his TESOLArabia PLN. Clicking the link, I was amazed to see how it could be used for various purposes. And… do you know what I did? Exactly! I immediately set up one for my peers on blogathon so I could share the site as well as to take the opportunity to use it as an address book.
So…that was it! Now, it is the voting time, and we would really appreciate your votes
The marathon is over now but the joyous experience of blogging will definitely not come to an end here. Although I feel I need to take a bit of rest, my inner “Nesrin” says, come on! You’ve just started, keep on going!” … and now I have another new challenge- The Reading Challenge on SEETA delivered by Marisa Constantinides. I am sure this will be another great one!

Hi Janet!
Thanks for your comments. Without you, my PLN, I would probably not have come this far. So, I would like to thank you all for your support once more. And, what I find interesting is that, people I have on my PLN more or less do similar things- like the course we are taking right now, which I think makes the whole experience a mor valuable one.

I have been busy with other stuff today, and feel very tired; and that’s why I mistakenly submitted my reply without closing it. So here you are…
See you at SEETA, I will catch up with you soon.
Best,
Nesrin
